BRS Quartet BRAZIL Play Along 1.1

This innovative play-along app has been developed by four prominent figures in the contemporary Brazilian music scene: Celso de Almeida (drums), Paulo Paulelli (bass), Marcus Teixeira (guitar), and Felipe Silveira (keys). As session producer Thadeu Lenza noted, "Brazilian music play-alongs are rare (even in Brazil), so we initiated this project: jazz standard forms infused with Brazilian rhythms. I am a drummer and music producer, and we recorded everything at my studio, Drum Village Studio, in São Paulo, Brazil."

A single listen highlights their exceptional musicianship, while repeated plays offer valuable insights into performing music in the Brazilian style, with a focused emphasis on jazz standards.

The BRS Quartet has curated a set-list that encourages users—be they listeners or musicians—to engage in a simulated performance experience. The set-list is designed to start with an upbeat tune and conclude with a piece of increased complexity.

In line with the Fuzzy Music Play-Along apps, users can listen to and play along with the complete track using the classic "Aebersold" method or a karaoke-style interface. Additionally, users have the flexibility to SOLO or MUTE individual tracks or combinations thereof, as well as adjust mix levels. Each "standard" is accompanied by chord progressions and form charts available in the keys of C, Bb, and Eb, which can be easily shared via the Mail app on iPhone or iPad.
